The 8a in the footsteps of Karl May: Creative filming in the Karl May House On Friday, November 7, the 8a visited the Karl May House in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and immersed themselves in the world of the famous adventure writer. But it wasn't just a classic museum tour on the program - instead, the museum was transformed into a small film set! In groups, the pupils created their own clips under the motto "Museum in a Clip".
Starting with an informative tour of the Karl May House, during which the pupils learned many exciting details about the author's life and work, they then went straight into the creative phase: each group first developed its own storyboard. The ideas ranged from short scenes about Karl May's life to snapshots from his famous stories.
With cameras and plenty of motivation, the pupils then transformed the exhibition rooms into their own filming locations, slipped into costumes and shot the planned scenes. The exhibits and rooms helped to capture the atmosphere of Karl May's stories. They then sat down to edit the footage themselves until they ended up with cool short films.
The project not only offered insights into the world of filmmaking, but also brought the pupils closer to Karl May in a completely new, creative way. It was a perfect mix of fun, creativity and learning.
