Good news: The IGM is now the proud owner of a defibrillator! Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our student representatives and the active support of the school club as part of the "Little Paramedic Workshop", we were able to apply for this life-saving device from the school authorities - with success.
Defibrillators have long since become an integral part of many public areas such as train stations and airports, and now such a device is also ensuring greater safety at our school.
The school authority, SIS & GGB gemeinnützige GmbH, was immediately convinced by the idea and decided to equip not only our school, but all secondary schools in the network with them. A decisive step that can save lives: In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, every second counts and the rapid availability of a defibrillator significantly increases the chances of survival. With clear voice instructions, the device also guides non-professionals safely through an emergency, so that no valuable time is lost in an emergency.
We are proud of the initiative of our student representatives and the school club and would like to thank our school authorities for acting so quickly and with such foresight. This project is a real milestone for more safety at our schools and shows how important it is for pupils, teachers and school authorities to work together when it comes to the well-being of all involved!
