We have expanded!

Just in time for the start of the new school year, it was done:
Both school buildings of the International High School Meerane shone in new splendor!

With five new Year 5 classes and an additional Year 10 class, the historic "Pesta" building was slowly becoming too cramped, so the "Webschule" building (formerly BSZ) was added to our campus. The task now was to get it up to scratch in the shortest possible time.
All teachers and staff who were not on annual leave spent their summer vacation at the school and performed a miracle in this short time:

They unloaded and loaded furniture containers, carried, cleared, unwrapped, screwed together and apart, painted, sorted, swept, mopped, refurnished, carried furniture back and forth between the two buildings, creatively designed, built timetables, created student files, mucked out and and and and ...
They (almost always) kept their good mood and went about their work with so much passion and joy that it was incredibly impressive.

On the first day of the 2025/26 school year, we were able to start the 5th-8th grades at IGM Junior High School and the 9th-12th grades at IGM High School (formerly BSZ).

Our young high school students were greeted by a spotlessly clean, solid building with large, bright rooms, equipped with new furniture and panels in all rooms. SOL and common rooms as well as a modern cafeteria with high tables and bar stools made of real wood also scored points with the students.

The junior high school rooms received new furniture in the colors sunny yellow, apple green and blue - real eye-catchers and another feel-good factor for the kids.

We are now planning another day of joint work and design, this time also with students and parents on 20.09.2025, to spruce up the outdoor facilities of the high school and create a desire to spend time outdoors.
All those willing to work are cordially invited to do so from 09:00 to 12:00, we look forward to every helping hand. Food and drink will be provided.
