Yes we did it! - The International Grammar School gets to work!

World Cleanup Day in Meerane: Once again this year, the International Gymnasium Meerane took part in the city's traditional cleanup day with full commitment. Under the leadership of our deputy principal Ms. Klepzig and supported by our strong janitor Mr. Müller, more than 60 pupils, parents and teachers came together to make the town a little cleaner.

In bright sunshine, large areas of Meeran city center, the train station grounds, Pestalozzistraße, the new town hall and the sculpture park were thoroughly cleared of garbage. A lot of work was also done in the "Green Classroom": under the guidance of Ms. Oehler, a hard-working group cut back the plants and cleared the beds of weeds.

We are also continuing to work on our amphitheater. The international pupils and four sixth form students worked hard to install the first steps and prepare the site for future events. Our students laid the foundation for the financing in 2022 with a charity run.

At the same time, a lot of work was also carried out on the sports field: The first fence posts were successfully erected, marking another milestone in the completion of the fence.

Our special thanks go to the company "envia M" from Chemnitz, which provided us with considerable financial support for building the fence. Without this support, this project would not have been possible in such a short time.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in this day with so much enthusiasm. Your efforts have helped to make Meerane a little cleaner and our school a little more beautiful - we are proud of you!
