Creative filming in the Karl May House On Friday, November 7, 8a visited the Karl May House in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and immersed themselves in the world of the famous adventure writer. But it wasn't just a classic museum tour on the program - instead, the museum was transformed into a small film set! In groups, the pupils created their own clips under the motto "Museum in a Clip".

Great Job by IGM Students in the Finals of the 23rd GeoCompetition

On November 7, 2024, the final round of the third stage of the 23rd GeoCompetition of the State Office for Schools and Education (LaSuB) took place. Anna Wissgott (Year 12) and Martin Frentzel (Year 7b) represented Meerane International Grammar School. Just making it to the final was a great success for our students.

Report on the Excursion to Lörrach

On Monday, 16.09.2024, we, grade 8, went on an excursion to Lörrach. We met at the school at 6:50 am and left the city of Meerane at around 7 am with the help of a coach. We arrived at our youth hostel in the afternoon at around 4:30 p.m., checked into our rooms and then explored the grounds.

An Exciting Week of Science: Exploring Nature, Chemistry, and the Universe

For our excursion week this year, the 7th graders participated in natural science workshops and experiments. We started the week with two days at school, during which we attended four different workshops. The first workshop was about flying, where we learned a lot about airplanes and how to make small-scale models.

Our 9th grade excursion to London took place from 15.9. to 20.9.2024. On Sunday afternoon, we started our bus journey on time towards the ferry port of Dunkirk. After almost 20 hours of travel, we finally arrived in London. Although we were pretty exhausted, we went straight to the first highlight: the famous Globe Theatre.
