Homeschooling on Monday, 8.1.2024

Dear parents and guardians,

We have received numerous inquiries regarding school transport and school attendance next Monday as a result of the media report today, to which we are responding at short notice in coordination with the management and other schools.

So far, there is no reliable, official information on the extent, duration and locations of any traffic disruptions and road closures. It is unclear to what extent pupils, teachers and also our kitchen staff, janitors and drivers will be able to reach our facilities safely and on time on Monday. It is also unclear to what extent our kitchens will be able to deliver lunch supplies and the school buses will be able to travel unhindered.

We have never encountered a situation like this before. The safety of your children is our top priority. We believe that this is currently at risk due to the above-mentioned circumstances. We have therefore decided to proceed as follows:

On Monday, 08.01.2024, all students are in homeschooling according to the timetable. The subject teachers will inform their students whether the lessons will take place digitally or whether the tasks will be stored on Lernsax.
The students are obliged to complete the tasks assigned in full.

For pupils in Year 5 whose parents are unable to provide supervision, there is the possibility of emergency supervision at the school. In this case, please inform us immediately by telephone or email.

We ask for your understanding that we will proceed in this way on Monday due to these uncertainties.
We send you our best regards in the hope that lessons will take place as normal from Tuesday.
