dear students,
dear friends and supporters,

With the first white flakes, the anticipation of the upcoming Advent and Christmas season sets in silently and unnoticed. At the same time they show us: The year 2022 is coming to an end and it is time to look back and ask, how was the year for me and my loved ones?

A good year 2022 lies behind the International Gymnasium Meerane, without school closure and drastic restrictions, the school operation could be carried out throughout in the best possible way. But also the lessons and experiences from the Corona time brought us further: Students as well as teachers learned to appreciate the face-to-face teaching and at the same time to use the very good technical possibilities of our school.

The result is something to be proud of: We said goodbye to our 10th graduating class with the best average so far of 1.98. This result fills us with pride and joy, as it was achieved despite all the impassibilities of the Corona period and shows that it is worthwhile to find new ways and to overcome the limits in thinking and self-confidence.

On to new steps forward! Together with our students, we would like to redesign our school and make lessons even more interesting and varied (see enclosure) by allowing individual content to be worked on in a self-oriented manner in selected learning environments. We are looking forward to this new, shared experience.

Our goal remains to combine the "new" and the "old", and so, of course, proven components, such as the practical orientation through "Fit for Life" and the subject and annual excursions, the bilingual lessons and the afternoon
offerings will continue to be evaluated and continued.In all our undertakings and decisions, we could always be sure of the
personnel and material support of you, dear parents, and that of our sponsor SIS.
We are very grateful to all of you for this, as well as for the honest and open dialog in the sense of "togetherness" and the
further development of our school.

May the upcoming Advent and Christmas season give us a few quiet and contemplative hours in the circle of our loved ones, before we start with new strength and motivation into the year 2023.Connected with the wish for peace and readiness for understanding, we would like to wish you and your families good health and personal well-being.
