¡Hola Barcelona! - Class 10 excursion to Spain

With the beginning of the 10th grade we are now already in the 6th school year learning the Spanish language. In order to be able to gain practical experience and apply our learned knowledge, we went on a language trip to the Spanish metropolis of Barcelona, which is also the second largest city in Spain and the third most visited city in Europe, from October 9 to 15.

In the early morning hours of October 9, our two-day bus trip started with a stopover in Lyon (France). In the following days, an exciting and varied program awaited us, which included cultural and historical aspects, such as the visit of the Sagrada Familia, the monumental church in the heart of Barcelona, the "Museu Picasso", an art museum, which exhibited works of the world famous Picasso, or the Park Güell, created by the architect Antonio Gaudi. Furthermore, sports and leisure activities, such as dinner at the Hard Rock Café and a visit to Camp Nou, which is one of the largest soccer stadiums in the world with almost 100,000 seats, were also part of the program. In addition to all the information-packed program points, we also had free time, which we were allowed to use to purchase souvenirs or to explore the metropolis independently.

On Friday, October 14, we started our journey home with heavy hearts. Due to the many new knowledge and the exciting impressions we look back on a great excursion week, which has made us richer by some experiences. We would like to thank Mrs. Dressel-Casals for the excellent planning and organization.
