This is the acronym for remembering the order of the planets: mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus and nepunte. About the solar system our 5th Classes learned in their language camp from october 25th to october 29th.
The boys and girls spent a few instructive and relaxing days in the rustic Huthaus with a beautiful view of the Erzgebirge town of Schneeberg. One of the highlights was the hike down to the beautiful town to visit the planetarium, apply what they had learned about our solar system and discover the spots on our sun through huge modern binoculars.
Another focus of the excursion was the hike on mining trail. The kids learned a lot about tradition of mining in this area.
The area around the cozy Huthaus is perfect for class excursions, so we immediately fell in love with the large campfire site, the soccer pitch, the maze, the climbing castle and the barbecue area in the countryside and made extensive use of everything.
We did a lot of language games to improve our English and had great fun.
The result was a field trip folder that contained all the tasks in English, also a funny snapshot from our hike to Schneeberg.
