Our Europe Day

This year, as every year, we celebrated Europe Day (already) on May 8 at our school. We commemorate the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950 as the origin of the European Union and the associated prerequisite for peace in Europe after the Second World War.
To this end, our pupils from young to old explored the most diverse areas of the topic of Europe. Whether at stations on music, artists, languages and natural scientists or in sports. Whether at various workshops or in discussions with professional politicians who were available to answer questions. This year's elections to the European Parliament, in which 16-year-olds can now cast their vote for the first time, are not entirely unimportant.

The cultural diversity of Europe, which consists of a multitude of countries with different traditions, languages and ways of life and strives for peace and cohesion, was thus brought a little closer to everyone. After all, it is ultimately the basis for our prosperity and our peaceful coexistence.
