Every year, many theater groups gather for the School Theater Days in Zwickau and we took part again. The festival took place at the end of March 2024 in the Gewandhaus.
Who we are: the IGM theater group (with an external member) the incredible norchis. We meet every Tuesday at 2:30 pm in the assembly hall or in room 11 and do theater. We have come together from Years 5, 6, 7 and 8.
First we watched the other groups presenting their plays. Then it got exciting for us because we had to perform our play. It was quite hectic, but on the whole it went well. We now know that you have to rehearse procedures carefully, but we also noticed that many of our scenes worked well.
We also got some good tips from the audience, such as changing the way we walk on stage, speaking loudly and clearly and being more confident. But there was also a lot of praise, the audience particularly liked our mirrors (Anny Rudolph and Antonia Kunz) and the queen (Lara Sarfert).
On the second day, we took part in various workshops, such as making headdresses in the mask workshop, writing and performing our own texts and performing improv theater. The atmosphere at the festival was great, we want to go again next year!
