"I'll take the heart, because brains don't make you happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world," says the tin woodsman in L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz." A story that has captivated generations of readers. Also Pauline Hößelbarth from class 6a, who represented the International Gymnasium Meerane as the school's internal winner of the reading competition on Friday, February 3, 2023 (her birthday!), in Glauchau for the district competition. With skill and passion Pauline presented her book and read from it as well as presented an unknown text convincingly. Unfortunately, it was not quite enough to reach the top step of the winner's podium. Nevertheless, Pauline succeeded in transferring her enthusiasm for reading to the audience and thus also impressively represented our school, which is proud of the little reader with the big heart.
