Where do I want to go in my life?
What do I want to achieve?

Where do I want to go in my life? What do I want to achieve? These were the questions our eleventh graders had to ask themselves in December to prepare for the job application training that was held for them at our school as part of the FfL (Fit for Life) lessons.

16 external partners, mostly parents of our school, took a day to talk to the students about job applications. In order to make a good impression in a job interview of any kind, you should make clear to yourself what your goals are. Do you want to see the world? Or make big money fast? Or save the environment? And what steps do you have to take to get closer to these goals? Our eleventh graders explored these topics in 16 conversations with alternating interlocutors who "got to the heart of the matter" in order to find out what kind of person was sitting in front of them.

Conclusion of the day: Our students made a very good impression overall and convinced their interlocutors in several conversations! And what do our students say? They liked it very much that the interview partners gave them helpful tips for self-presentation, which they could then try out and apply in the next interview - learning by doing at its best! And for the future: "No more excitement at real job interviews", because each of our students has now gone through this kind of interview 16 times.
