Baccalaureate 2023 at IGM
It all started on a sunny June day eight years ago.
There stood a group of very cute, excited and bright-eyed fourth graders in our schoolyard. They held in their hands a self-labeled piece of paper with their wish for the start at their new school, our Gymnasium. They were supposed to let this wish list rise into the sky attached to a colorful balloon.
German excursion: IGM in artist talk
In the penultimate week of school, students from Class 9a of the International Gymnasium Meerane interviewed four artists who are living and working in Altenburger Land this summer as residency fellows of the Kunsthof Niederarnsdorf. Among other things, a wall fresco will be created with earth pigments, and another artistic research project is concerned with the extraction of colors for prints on paper and fabric from native plants.
School festival on 23 June 2023
Dear parents and dear students, an eventful school year full of new challenges lies behind us and we would like to celebrate this with you and you together! Excursion to Leipzig
On June 12, 2023, we had the opportunity to go on a field trip to Leipzig and explore the fascinating city with its rich history and culture. Our trip took us to some of the most famous and significant sights Leipzig has to offer.
Workshop for student companies at IGM
On 13.06.2023 an exciting workshop for student companies took place at our school, the International Gymnasium Meerane. This was conducted by LSJ Sachsen and provided a great opportunity for the exchange of information and experiences between different student companies.
Junify Democracy Festival 2023
Almost two years have passed since some students of the International Gymnasium Meerane together with their teachers initiated the project "Democracy - Past and Present", which is not only of great importance for us as participants, but has also caused a sensation and recognition in the media.
