Industry Young Talent Day at intec-Z in Leipzig
On March 14, 2025, 9th grade IGM students visited the International Trade Fair for Machine Tools, Manufacturing and Automation Technology and the International Supplier Fair in Leipzig. Our students were able to get an impression of the variety of technologies on show: Lasers, grinding machines, metal rolling, injection molding, lightweight construction, fiber composites, programming and much more.

Christmas concert 2024: A celebration of school and music
On Thursday, December 19, the traditionally festively decorated auditorium of our school became the setting for a special evening: the Christmas Concert 2024 offered a successful mix of music, lyrics and theater, which put our audience - consisting of parents, partners and friends - in a contemplative pre-Christmas mood.
Under the direction of our music teacher Helko Kühne and with a lot of passion from the participating students, a varied program was presented. It ranged from lively band pieces to emotional solo performances and a humorous sketch.

Creative filming in the Karl May House On Friday, November 7, 8a visited the Karl May House in Hohenstein-Ernstthal and immersed themselves in the world of the famous adventure writer. But it wasn't just a classic museum tour on the program - instead, the museum was transformed into a small film set! In groups, the pupils created their own clips under the motto "Museum in a Clip".
Great Job by IGM Students in the Finals of the 23rd GeoCompetition
On November 7, 2024, the final round of the third stage of the 23rd GeoCompetition of the State Office for Schools and Education (LaSuB) took place. Anna Wissgott (Year 12) and Martin Frentzel (Year 7b) represented Meerane International Grammar School. Just making it to the final was a great success for our students.
Report on the Excursion to Lörrach
On Monday, 16.09.2024, we, grade 8, went on an excursion to Lörrach. We met at the school at 6:50 am and left the city of Meerane at around 7 am with the help of a coach. We arrived at our youth hostel in the afternoon at around 4:30 p.m., checked into our rooms and then explored the grounds.
