Technical excursion to Weimar: We took the train to Weimar, one of the most culturally rich cities in Germany. This was made clear to us again by a 2-hour guided tour of the city.

In the last week before the fall vacations, our sophomores set out to explore the Spanish metropolis of Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia.

Baccalaureate 2023 at IGM
It all started on a sunny June day eight years ago.
There stood a group of very cute, excited and bright-eyed fourth graders in our schoolyard. They held in their hands a self-labeled piece of paper with their wish for the start at their new school, our Gymnasium. They were supposed to let this wish list rise into the sky attached to a colorful balloon.
German excursion: IGM in artist talk
In the penultimate week of school, students from Class 9a of the International Gymnasium Meerane interviewed four artists who are living and working in Altenburger Land this summer as residency fellows of the Kunsthof Niederarnsdorf. Among other things, a wall fresco will be created with earth pigments, and another artistic research project is concerned with the extraction of colors for prints on paper and fabric from native plants.
