We look back with great joy and gratitude on our school's 150th anniversary, which we celebrated together on June 14, 2025. It was a thoroughly successful celebration that will remain in our fondest memories for a long time to come. A day full of encounters, music, hands-on activities, and wonderful moments for young and old.
Together into the Galaxy - A Theatre Festival Adventure
On 20.05.2025 it started: the student theater festival at the theater in Zwickau under the motto "Together a galaxy". We set off on the bus at eight o'clock in the morning. There was a lot of excitement as we didn't know whether the other groups would like our play.
Exemplary and respectful
On June 11, Meerane High School received a very special honor: our school was the first school in Saxony to receive the "Polite School" award from the German Etiquette Society. On behalf of the society, Ms. Ina Beyer-Graichen ceremoniously presented the award to the school management.
This award recognizes our school's long-standing commitment to respectful, appreciative and polite interaction - a self-image that is lived and actively promoted every day at IGM.

We, the class 9i of the IGM, were participants of the school theater festival at the Theater Plauen Zwickau, on May 20 and 21, 2025. We met great people there who have a huge passion for acting. The atmosphere in the theater was full of energy, joy and creativity.
